File a complaint about the NMa

The NMa strives to work as carefully as possible. Nevertheless, if you experienced a problem with the way we have operated, or if you believe you have not been treated correctly, you can file a complaint with the NMa Complaints Officer.

Seeking a solution

When we receive your complaint, we try to find out exactly what has happened. First, we will sit down together and see whether a solution can be found. If such a meeting does not lead to any resolution, we will formally accept the complaint, and process it.

Decision

We handle complaints in accordance with the Decision on the NMa Complaints Officer (in Dutch). That decision is based on the Dutch General Administrative Law Act, which explains in what way we should deal with your complaint. Our independent complaints officer will look into the complaint, and then advise the Board of the NMa about it. It is the Board that ultimately decides on the outcome.

How does the NMa handle your complaint?

You will receive a confirmation of your complaint upon receipt thereof. The individual you file a complaint against will be given a copy of the complaint. You and the individual you have filed the complaint against are each given the opportunity to orally add any comments.
