Career

Dineke_Mulock_HouwerMs. Mulock Houwer was Director-General at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment for many years. She then went on to become Director-General for Prevention, Youth and Sanctions at the Ministry of Justice. In recent years, she was at the helm of various interdepartmental projects, as part of the Central Government Reform Program. She was responsible for, among other things, the creation of the new PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, which combines the activities of the former Netherlands Institute for Spatial Research and the Netherlands Environmental Agency. In addition, she was also acting member of the Board of the Dutch Healthcare Authority, and acting Director-General at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, which falls under the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.

Ms. Mulock Houwer earned a master’s degree in sociology from Utrecht University.
