File an official complaint or decision request

Filing an official complaint or a decision request

Imagine that your company is entering a new market, and companies already present in that market are giving you a hard time. Or a supplier refuses to supply you with goods because he has made deals with other companies, or he charges unreasonably high prices. Or there might be another reason why you may feel disadvantaged. You can file a complaint with the NMa about all of these or similar problems. If you want the NMa to issue an official decision regarding your complaint in accordance with statutory regulations, then you should file a so-called ‘decision request’.

You must be an interested party

Decisions requests cannot be filed by everyone. You must meet legal requirements in order to be able to do so. According to the law, for example, you have to be a so-called ‘interested party’. Companies usually fall into that category, while consumers often do not.
Would you like to find out whether you qualify as an interested party? Or do you need help filling out the decision request form? Please consult a lawyer or other legal professional who is familiar with competition law.

No anonymity

If you file a decision request, you are required to include your name. According to the law, the NMa is required to inform the company in question that a complaint has been filed against it, and who filed the complaint.

How do you file a decision request?

Decision requests can only be submitted in writing. Please print and use the following form:
